Rumpke Waste & Recycling is hiring a Residential Helper in Cincinnati, OH. This role involves assisting drivers with waste removal on daily routes, loading and unloading at curbs, and interacting professionally with customers.

The position requires physical stamina, safety awareness, and ability to work with a team of drivers. Evening and weekend availability may be required due to operational needs.

Qualifications

• Must be able to understand truck mechanics and safety procedures.
• Good written and verbal communication with customers and drivers.
• Able to follow safety rules and directions in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Provide waste or recycling removal services to customers on assigned route(s) by emptying trash/recycling receptacles into truck.
• Enter and exit the truck multiple times per day and/or ride on the back step of a truck to service 600-1000 stops per day.
• Replace trash/recycling receptacles neatly at the curb or designated area.
• Clean up waste spills and overflows.
• Work with multiple drivers depending on workloads.
• Operate packing mechanism and lifting/loading mechanism.
• Assist Driver in safely backing up the truck.
• Assist in unloading or cleaning truck as needed.
• Interact professionally with internal and external customers.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
