Job summary

Rumpke Waste & Recycling in Wellston, OH is seeking a Residential Helper to assist drivers with safe, courteous waste removal on assigned routes. This is a physically demanding role requiring daily lifting and outdoor work.

You will interact with customers, help with loading, and support truck operations, with opportunities for competitive pay and a benefits package including health, dental, vision, and a 401(k) plan. Must be able to work nights and weekends.

Qualifications

• Ability to learn and understand truck mechanics.
• Good written and verbal communication with customers.
• Must be able to communicate in English well enough to follow directions and safety training.

Responsibilities

• Provide waste or recycling services to customers on assigned routes.
• Enter/exit the truck multiple times and ride on the back step as needed.
• Replace receptacles at the curb and ensure proper placement.
• Clean up spills and maintain a clean work area.
• Interact professionally with customers and coworkers.
• Assist the driver with backing up and loading/unloading as required.
