Job summary

Rumpke Waste & Recycling is seeking a full-time truck driver to provide trash and recycling removal services in Covington, KY. You will operate equipment safely, load containers, and deliver efficient service to customers.

The role requires the ability to read maps, frequent truck entry/exit, and strong driving skills. Valid DOT medical card and compliance with safety standards are essential, with opportunities for overtime and weekend work.

Qualifications

• Waste industry experience is a plus.
• Must have a valid DOT Medical Card or obtain prior to hire.
• Must be at least 19 years of age.
• No more than 3 moving violations within the last 2 years.
• Must not have any DUI's or OVI's within the last 5 years or 2 in the last 10 years.

Responsibilities

• Provide trash or recycling removal services to customers, in a safe and compliant way, by emptying trash/recycling containers into truck and hauling to disposal site.
• Routinely enter/exit the truck approximately 300-500 times per day, depending on the assigned route
• May be required to pull or push containers from enclosures or inside buildings
• Replace trash/recycling receptacles neatly at the curb or designated area
• Clean up waste spills and overflows
• Maintain and update route & driver log sheets
• Conduct pre-trip/post trip inspections and complete logs
• Professionally interact with internal and external customers, providing excellent customer service
• Clean waste from the packer blade and truck body and ensure cleanliness of truck cab
• Deliver trash or recycling containers as needed
• Perform other duties as assigned
