Job summary

GFL Environmental Inc. in Jacksonville, FL, is seeking a Residential Driver who will safely and courteously collect solid waste and recyclables on curbside or backdoor routes, transporting to post-collection facilities.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required or desired.
• Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) required.
• Ability to meet safety-sensitive criteria per company standards.
• Ability to safely drive and operate waste collection equipment.

Responsibilities

• Operate a residential/recycling collection truck and related equipment on assigned routes.
• Load solid waste and recyclables into the vehicle.
• Compact trash and maintain route quality and safety standards.
• Complete pre-trip and post-trip inspections and daily reports.
• Identify and tag prohibited items and maintain vehicle cleanliness.
• Communicate any mechanical issues to supervisor promptly.
