Job summary

Waste Pro USA Inc. is seeking a Helper to assist the refuse truck driver on pre-assigned routes to collect garbage, yard waste, or recycling. The role emphasizes safe operating practices, teamwork, and delivering courteous service to residents.

Responsibilities include loading waste, backing up the truck with driver guidance, and maintaining cleanliness of the truck area. The position requires physical effort on a daily 8–12 hour shift in varied weather conditions.

Qualifications

• Be able to follow safe operating practices.
• Be able to learn and use interpersonal skills relating to good customer service.
• Be able to read, write and comprehend reports well enough to complete daily assignments.

Responsibilities

• Picks up solid waste and places it in the back of a rear load garbage truck on specified routes.
• Operates packing mechanism to compact waste into the truck.
• Assists Driver in safely backing up the truck by directing the Driver from the ground.
• Cleans behind the compactor blade and sprays the hopper and truck as needed.
