Job summary

Waste Pro is seeking a Helper to assist refuse truck drivers on pre-assigned routes, helping collect garbage, yard waste, and recyclables. The role emphasizes safety and efficient customer service while supporting drivers with loading, unloading, and backing the truck as needed.

Residents may require guidance or questions directed to Customer Service. The position requires the ability to work 8–12 hours in varying weather and to perform physical tasks daily.

Responsibilities

• Assist refuse truck driver on pre-assigned routes to pick up garbage, yard waste, and recycling.
• Provide safe, courteous service and maintain a positive attitude toward customers and municipal goals.
• Load and unload waste, push toters, and operate compacting mechanisms as directed.
• Answer resident questions and direct them to Customer Service or government offices as needed.
• Follow safety policies including Waste Pro Absolute Guidelines.
• Assist driver with backing the truck safely from the ground.
