Job summary

The Helper at Waste Pro USA assists the refuse truck driver on pre-assigned and special routes to pick up garbage, yard waste, or recycling. This role requires manual lifting, loading into the truck, and helping ensure timely collection.

You will work in varying weather and street conditions, follow safety policies, and support drivers and customers to maintain efficient service across designated routes. Applicants must be able to work early mornings, follow directions, and stay in communication

Qualifications

• Physical ability to lift and move waste containers on a daily basis.
• Commitment to safety policies and customer service standards.
• Ability to follow directions from drivers and supervisors.

Responsibilities

• Picks up solid waste and places it in the back of the garbage truck on routes.
• Assists driver with backing up and positioning on streets and driveways.
• Cleans and maintains area around the truck and hopper after shifts.
• Responds to residents' questions and directs them to Customer Service as needed.
• Follows ANSI, OSHA and Waste Pro safety policies.
• Performs other duties as assigned and may work during emergencies.
