Job summary

Waste Pro USA is seeking a Helper to support refuse truck drivers on pre-assigned routes, assisting with garbage, yard waste, and recycling collection. You will load items manually, operate loading areas, and ensure proper disposal in the truck’s compactor system.

Safety compliance and courteous customer service are essential, as you may work on emergency deployments and on various routes. This role involves outdoor work in changing weather conditions.

Qualifications

• Ability to assist refuse truck driver on routes and load waste.
• Capable of lifting heavy bags and moving toters or containers as needed.
• Good customer service and communication with residents.
• Ability to follow safety policies and procedures.

Responsibilities

• Picks up solid waste and places it in the back of a rear-load garbage truck on specified routes.
• Assists driver by backing up the truck safely and directing from the ground.
• Cleans around the loading area and truck at end of shift or as needed.
• Reports safety or customer issues to driver or supervisor.
• Works on various routes as assigned and may assist on emergency deployments.
