Job summary

The Salvation Army Indiana Division is hiring a Residential Treatment Counselor in Indianapolis. You will develop individualized treatment plans and provide direct counseling to clients, including individual, family, and group sessions, while ensuring documentation in the EMR and adherence to program policies.

You will collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, participate in staff meetings, and contribute to achieving treatment goals, maintaining confidentiality and following TSA guidelines.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in human services or related field required (consideration may be given to those in program).
• Two years of direct service experience.
• Valid driver’s license and TSA driver qualification; Safe From Harm training within 30 days.
• ICAADA certification preferred; if not, must obtain within 12 months.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans for each client.
• Provide case management services as needed for assigned clients.
• Maintain caseload and conduct individual, family and group counseling.
• Teach educational classes and ensure alignment with treatment plan goals.
• Document progress in the EMR, including notes, plans and discharge summaries.
• Present cases to the multi-disciplinary team and participate in staffing.
• Maintain client confidentiality per laws and TSA policies.
• Attend staff meetings and training; participate in monthly peer reviews.
