Job summary

The Salvation Army Indiana Division is seeking a Transitional Housing Ambassador Program Counselor in Indianapolis to develop and implement individualized treatment plans, provide case management, and conduct individual, family, and group counseling.

You will document progress in the EMR, update treatment plans, and participate in multidisciplinary staff meetings while complying with confidentiality and certification requirements. Some evening or weekend work may be required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in human services or related field required.
• Master’s degree preferred.
• Background check required.
• 1–2 years in substance abuse services preferred.
• Valid driver’s license and Safe From Harm training within 90 days.
• CADAC or ACIT certification preferred; if not, obtain within 12 months.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans.
• Provide case management and counseling (individual, family, group).
• Document progress in EMR and maintain treatment plans.
• Facilitate group counseling and educational classes.
• Maintain client confidentiality and complete monthly peer reviews.
