Job summary

The Salvation Army Indiana Division is seeking a Residential Treatment Counselor to develop and implement individualized treatment plans for clients, provide case management, and support group counseling. This role supports The Salvation Army’s mission and requires commitment to confidentiality and compassionate care.

The position requires a Master’s degree in human services (or in progress), two years of direct service experience, and ability to work evenings and weekends.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in human services or related field required or in progress.
• Background check required; results reviewed.
• Two years of direct service experience; willingness to work at least one evening per week and some weekends.
• ICAADA certification preferred; if not, within 12 months of employment.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans for each client.
• Provide case management services as needed; maintain caseload and conduct individual, family and group counseling.
• Document progress in treatment plans and EMR; prepare progress notes and group notes within 24 hours of sessions.
• Collaborate with the multidisciplinary team; present cases at staffing; participate in weekly meetings.
• Maintain client confidentiality and meet certification requirements; comply with safety training and driving qualifications.
• Demonstrate compassionate interaction across diverse backgrounds; Spanish language proficiency is a plus.
