Job summary

Qualifications

• General knowledge of materials and methods used in preparing meats, breads and other foods on a large scale.
• General knowledge of food values and nutrition.
• Skill in cutting and carving meat.
• Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with associates.

Responsibilities

• Prepares and cooks meats, vegetables and other foods in accordance with menu.
• Operates standard cooking equipment such as ranges, mixers, food choppers, deep fryers and refrigerators.
• Serves meals to individuals at the residential treatment center.
• Cleans kitchen and equipment, washes dishes; performs general cleaning duties as needed.
• Receives and stocks food supplies; maintains sanitary standards.
