Job summary

Liberty Point Behavioral Healthcare in Staunton, VA is seeking a Dietary Cook for full-time and PRN positions. The role involves preparing healthy meals for residents, staff, and guests, following menu plans and maintaining high service standards.

Qualifications

• Must have cooking experience.
• Previous hospital/school cafeteria experience is helpful.
• Must be able to stand for long periods and lift up to 35 pounds.
• Dexterity and good vision required for food prep and safety.

Responsibilities

• Prepares meals according to menu and ensures proper portioning and safe handling.
• Maintains cleanliness and proper labeling/stock in kitchen areas.
• Sets up service lines and ensures condiments and garnishes are available.
• Assists in prep for next day’s menu and minimizes food waste.
• Keeps kitchen areas clean and complies with health department codes.
