Job summary

RTR is seeking a Residential Support Specialist in Marshfield, MA to help individuals with developmental disabilities live safely and independently in a residential setting. You’ll work with the Residential Manager to provide hands-on support, skill-building, and daily care to enhance quality of life.

The role involves direct care, transportation when needed, documentation, medication administration, and participation in team meetings. A strong, compassionate, team-oriented approach is essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or 1 year direct experience in human services required.
• Valid driver’s license required.
• Successful completion and maintenance of mandated trainings including medication administration.
• Must be willing to authorize a Criminal History Background Check (CORI) and release of information.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct support and skill-building in daily living activities.
• Assist individuals with personal care needs such as hygiene, meals, dressing, and mobility.
• Support participation in community activities, appointments, and social events.
• Provide transportation as required.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized home environment.
• Complete daily documentation and shift reports.
• Administer medications following established procedures.
• Implement behavioral support plans and safety interventions as needed.
• Support individuals with medical appointments and related documentation.
• Participate in team meetings, training, and ongoing development.
• Provide coaching and support to new staff as directed.
