Job summary

The Guild for Human Services in Bedford, MA is seeking a part-time Residential Assistant to support the development and implementation of a comprehensive residential program for individuals with intellectual disabilities.

You will assist in ISP/IEP planning, supervise daily activities, and help ensure a safe, supportive living environment, including medication administration and 1:1 supervision as needed.

Qualifications

• A minimum of an Associate’s Degree is preferred; prior experience in lieu of a degree will be considered.
• Must meet Massachusetts CORI background requirements.
• MAP (Medication Administration Program) certification or the ability to obtain MAP certification within the first 90 days of employment.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the development and implementation of each individual’s residential ISP/IEP and daily activity schedule.
• Attend and support individuals participating in all community experiences.
• Implement positive behavior supports and individual behavior support plans for individuals who live in the home.
• Provide supervision of all individuals while under his/her care.
• Administer and record individuals’ medications, in compliance with MAP.
• Provide direct supervision and care to individuals, including 1:1 responsibilities at all times and locations.
• Participate in any meetings pertaining to assigned individuals or program planning, as directed.
• Engage in de-escalation of individuals.
