Job summary

The Guild for Human Services in Massachusetts is seeking a responsible Residential Assistant to support the Residential Manager and assist in implementing a comprehensive residential program for assigned individuals.

You will help maintain a safe living environment, aid in ISP/IEP development, participate in community activities, and administer medications under MAP guidelines. Strong English skills and a valid driver’s license are required.

Qualifications

• Associates preferred, High School Diploma required.
• Background check process required.
• Valid driver's license required.
• Proficiency in written and spoken English is essential.

Responsibilities

• Work as a member of a team to maintain a clean, safe, positive living environment for each individual who lives at the residence including completing laundry and cleaning assignments.
• Assist in the development and implementation of each individual’s residential ISP/IEP and daily activity schedule.
• Attend and support individuals participating in all community experiences.
• Implement positive behavior supports and individual behavior support plans for individuals who live in the home.
• Assist in record keeping and report writing, as assigned.
• Provide supervision of all individuals while under his/her care.
• Administer and record individuals’ medications, in compliance with MAP.
• Able to transport individuals to various locations.
• Provide direct supervision and care to individuals, including 1:1 responsibilities at all times and locations.
• Participate in any meetings pertaining to assigned individuals or program planning, as directed.
• Engage in de-escalation of individuals.
