Summary

To assist the Residential Manager (or Lead/Assistant Residential Manager) in the development and implementation of a comprehensive residential program for their assigned individuals.

Primary Job Responsibilities

• Work as a member of a team to maintain a clean, safe, positive living environment for each individual who lives at the residence including completing laundry and cleaning assignments
• Assist in the development and implementation of each individual’s residential ISP/IEP and daily activity schedule
• Attend and support individuals participating in all community experiences
• Implement positive behavior supports and individual behavior support plans for individuals who live in the home
• Provide supervision of all individuals while under his/her care
• Administer and record individuals’ medications, in compliance with MAP
• Provide direct supervision and care to individuals, including 1:1 responsibilities at all times and locations
• Participate in any meetings pertaining to assigned individuals or program planning, as directed
• Engage in de-escalation of individuals

Essential Job Functions

• Regular attendance at work is an essential function of the job including inclement weather
• Demonstrated evidence of mature judgment, good interpersonal skills, a desire to enrich individuals’ lives and willingness to learn
• Physical and mental capacity to work in stressful situations and de-escalate individuals who have limited cognition and complex needs
• Proficiency in written and spoken English is an essential function of the job
• Pass Guild Driving test to access Guild vehicles for transportation of individuals
• Must be able to implement crisis intervention techniques as necessary, including Nonviolent Crisis Intervention (via certification through CPI)
• The ability to assist individuals in evacuation from the residence

Requirements

• Associates preferred, High School Diploma required
• A valid driver's license
• Must undergo Massachusetts background check
