Job summary

La Familia’s Recovery and Wellness Department seeks a Residential Monitor for Oakland, CA. The role covers overnight shifts on weekends and midweek hours, supervising residents, maintaining schedules, and documenting daily client interactions for counselors.

Strong de-escalation skills and bilingual English/Spanish are highly valued. Candidates should have a high school diploma, CPR/First Aid, and experience in a residential setting.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Bilingual Spanish and English proficiency preferred.
• CPR and First Aid certification preferred or required.
• Experience in residential settings with adults.
• Knowledge of alcohol and drug prevention and recovery concepts.
• Ability to document communications and events accurately.
• Proficiency with MS Office and Google Workspace.
• Valid CA driver's license is required.

Responsibilities

• Provide supervision and monitoring of residents in a residential setting.
• Ensure residents comply with schedules and participate in routines.
• Complete daily notes detailing client status for counselors.
• Respond to crisis calls and de-escalate situations calmly.
• Handle transport for clients and run program-related errands.
• Perform filing and routine office duties as assigned.
• Maintain safety policies and report injuries or risks.
• Collaborate with the Program Supervisor on special projects.
