Job summary

Supportive Concepts for Families, Inc. is hiring Residential Specialists to support individuals with IDD in a residential setting across Lebanon County. This role offers full-time and part-time schedules, paid training, and a $2,000 sign-on bonus for full-time employment.

You will assist with personal care, meals, daily living skills, and community participation, while promoting dignity, respect, and person-centered goals. No experience required for many positions; training is provided.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Valid Pennsylvania Driver's License.
• Experience working with individuals with IDD and Behavioral Health.
• Excellent communication, documentation, and organizational skills.
• Proficiency in English communication, both verbal and written.
• Ability to complete required training programs.
• Ability to pass background checks and screenings.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct care and support to individuals with IDD in a residential setting.
• Assist with personal care, bathing, dressing, grooming, and hygiene.
• Prepare meals and assist with feeding when necessary.
• Support daily living skills and independence.
• Help individuals participate in community activities and appointments.
• Provide companionship, encouragement, and emotional support.
• Maintain a safe, clean, and welcoming home environment.
• Follow individualized support plans and goals.

What You’ll Do

As a Residential Specialist, you will provide direct care and support to individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities in a residential setting

Assisting with personal care, including bathing, dressing, grooming, and hygiene

Preparing meals and assisting with feeding when necessary

Supporting daily living skills and independence

Helping individuals participate in community activities, appointments, and social events

Providing companionship, encouragement, and emotional support

Maintaining a safe, clean, and welcoming home environment

Following individualized support plans and goals

Promoting dignity, respect, and person-centered care

Qualifications

Required:

• Must be at least 18 years of age
• Valid Pennsylvania Driver's License
• Previous Experience working directly with individuals with IDD and Behavioral Health
• Excellent communication, documentation, and organizational skills
• Proficiency in English communication, both verbal and written
• Ability to successfully complete all required training programs
• Ability to pass Criminal Record History Clearances, FBI, Physical Examination, and Drug Screening

Schedule

• Flexible scheduling based on programmatic needs
• Evening, weekend, holiday, and overnight hours may be required.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
• Ability to stand, walk, bend, and assist individuals as needed
• Ability to perform essential job functions with or without reasonable accommodation
