Job summary

Volunteers of America Northern Rockies is seeking a dedicated Skills Trainer to provide one-on-one supervision and skill-building for clients in a residential detox setting. You will work within a multidisciplinary team to implement treatment plans and help clients develop independent living skills.

Responsibilities include in-home visits, preparing materials, coordinating daily operations, transporting clients, and assisting with risk assessments and crisis prevention.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Valid driver's license required.
• 1–2 years of training/experience in adult education or related field.
• Must obtain CPR/First Aid, Mental Health First Aid, and MANDT within 30 days of employment.

Responsibilities

• Provide support, supervision, and skills training per the treatment plan.
• Maintain case records and documentation per agency policies.
• Coordinate daily facility operations and client needs with staff.
• Attend team meetings, case staffing, and partner meetings as assigned.
• Conduct in-home skills training visits to develop independent living skills.
• Transport clients to services and appointments as authorized.
• May administer drug and alcohol screens as needed.
• Participate in supervision, training, and crisis prevention under clinical staff.
