Job summary

Volunteers of America Northern Rockies seeks a Skills Trainer to provide one-on-one and group skills training per treatment plans. You will maintain case records, coordinate facility operations with staff, and participate in multidisciplinary teams to support client progress.

Responsibilities include in-home training visits, preparing materials for day treatment, and ensuring safety and crisis prevention within the program guidelines. Some travel may be involved.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED and a valid driver’s license.
• 1–2 years of training in adult education or experience with mental illness.
• Certification in CPR/First Aid, Mental Health First Aid, and MANDT within 30 days.

Responsibilities

• Provide one-on-one supervision and skills training per treatment plan.
• Maintain client case records and documentation per policies.
• Coordinate facility operations and client needs with staff.
• Conduct in-home skills training to develop independent living skills.
• Participate in team meetings and case staffing as assigned.
• Ensure client safety and crisis prevention within scope of practice.
