Job summary

Daybreak Independent Services, Inc. in New York is seeking a Shift Supervisor to oversee a residential program and support individuals with developmental disabilities.

You will supervise staff, implement treatment plans, ensure safety, and coordinate with nursing and medical teams to schedule appointments. The role requires at least a Bachelor's or diploma with OPWDD experience, strong communication skills, and a New York State Driver's License.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or diploma with two years OPWDD experience.
• Residential program or mental health experience preferred and required.
• Verbal and written communication skills essential.
• New York State Driver's License and background check clearance.
• Supervisory experience preferred (at least 1 year).

Responsibilities

• Ensure health, safety and welfare of individuals.
• Supervise residents and implement behavior goals/plans.
• Coordinate with Nurse/Medical Coordinator for appointments.
• Maintain required certifications and transport residents as needed.
• Schedule staff and manage daily operations.
