Job summary

The Salvation Army A Georgia Corp is seeking a dedicated Residential Counselor to monitor long-term residents in a rehabilitation program and enforce house rules while maintaining accurate records.

Responsibilities include safety rounds, emergency response, daily documentation, and handling aggressive incidents. A driver’s license and CPR/First Aid certification (or ability to obtain) are required, with benefits including PTO and health coverage.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• One year of security or social service experience preferred.
• Valid State Driver’s License required.
• CPR/First Aid Certification required or ability to obtain within timeframe.

Responsibilities

• Monitor residents to ensure safety and compliance with house rules.
• Check windows/doors security; perform rounds across the facility.
• Respond to emergencies calmly and follow established procedures.
• Complete intake and daily case notes; input data into system.
• Assist with handling verbal and physical aggression from residents.
