Job summary

Advocates for Life Skills & Opportunity (ALSO) seeks a Services Manager – Portland Metro Residential (9th St.) to provide leadership and oversight for high-quality, person-centered residential services. You will develop advocates, maintain compliance, and collaborate across departments to create safe, consistent supports for the people we serve.

The starting salary range for this position is $49,146.88–$58,389.69 annually.

Qualifications

• Experience supporting people with intellectual and/or developmental disabilities.
• Supervisory or leadership experience or demonstrated readiness for leadership.
• Strong understanding of person-centered practices.
• Ability to manage competing priorities and respond to on‑call needs.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to travel within the Portland Metro area.
• 6 months of service at ALSO, completed training for current role and in good performance standing.

Responsibilities

• Lead, coach, and support Lead Support Professionals and Direct Support Professionals.
• Foster a positive, accountable, and inclusive team culture aligned with ALSO values.
• Support recruitment, onboarding, training, and performance management.
• Ensure appropriate staffing coverage and on‑call response.
• Oversee day-to-day operations of the Alpine residential program.
• Ensure services remain person-centered, rights‑based, and trauma‑informed.
• Support individualized service plans and outcomes.
• Collaborate with Behavior Supports, Nursing, QI, AR, Finance and other partners.
• Maintain compliance with licensing requirements, policies, and organizational standards.
• Complete audits, documentation reviews, and corrective actions as needed.
• Ensure timely and accurate documentation and incident reporting.
• Serve as a liaison between advocates, leadership, and interdisciplinary teams.
• Communicate clearly with internal and external partners.
• Participate in leadership meetings and continuous improvement efforts.
