Job summary

Mosaic is seeking a Direct Support Manager in Macomb to lead residential service operations and a team of direct support staff. You will ensure compliance with regulatory standards, manage budgets, and foster a warm, therapeutic environment for individuals served.

As a hands-on leader, you will train staff, coordinate program plans, and ensure safety and quality across facilities and transportation. A passion for empowering people with intellectual disabilities drives your daily work.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree or relevant experience accepted in lieu of degree.
• Minimum of 3 years of related work experience, including at least 1 year of supervisory or management experience.
• Experience supporting people with developmental disabilities preferred.
• Knowledge of regulatory standards, medication administration guidelines, and basic budget management.
• Strong organizational, problem-solving, and computer skills.
• Ability to translate administrative guidance into actionable, everyday care routines.
• Patient, positive attitude and passion for working with individuals with intellectual disabilities.

Responsibilities

• Lead & Inspire: schedule, coach, and supervise direct support supervisors and staff to build a high-performing team.
• Program Oversight: coordinate and manage implementation of individual program plans and monitor day-to-day operations.
• Advocacy & Support: maintain medical, social, and programmatic files; coordinate appointments and community activities.
• Operational Excellence: maintain residential facilities and vehicles; prepare administrative reports; manage local financial accounts and supplies purchasing.
• Safety & Compliance: monitor safety guidelines, regulatory requirements, accreditation standards, and OSHA regulations.
• Hands-On Leadership: train staff; step in to work direct care shifts to maintain staffing ratios; provide on-call guidance in emergencies.
