Job summary

Catholic Community Services of Western Washington is seeking a Residential Services Coordinator for our 24/7 Francis Place housing project in Bellingham. You will support daily crisis management, build positive relationships with residents, and help ensure safe building operations.

Responsibilities include coordinating outside services, facilitating on-site activities, logging daily events, responding to emergencies, and communicating with supervisors and partners to address concerns.

Qualifications

• Experience working with individuals displaying a wide range of unpleasant and/or challenging behaviors.
• Must be available to work some evening and weekend shifts.
• Ability to communicate and work effectively with staff from various backgrounds.
• Reliable transportation and WA State Driver’s License/ WA State ID.
• Active or ability to obtain a Food Handlers Permit.
• Active or ability to obtain CPR/First Aid training.
• Criminal History Background Checks are required prior to employment.

Responsibilities

• Interact and model appropriate professional behaviors with residents in the general milieu of Francis Place common areas.
• Coordinate and facilitate outside services with residents; schedule, confirm and manage appointments.
• Provide outreach and engagement of service-resistant residents through creative, resourceful strategies.
• Initiate, facilitate and promote on-site recreational and therapeutic activities.
• Ensure lobby operations including checking visitors in, answering telephones and monitoring security systems.
• Respond to emergencies and coordinate with Supervisor and Housing Director as needed.
• Maintain safety and security by monitoring general access areas and enforcing building rules.
• Elevate issues during shift overlap for seamless coverage; pass on necessary information.
• Respond to resident complaints; coordinate with Supervisor, Building Manager, and community partners.
• Assess resident requests for maintenance, lease issues, rent payments, etc.
• Participate in weekly staff meetings and required trainings.
• Provide transportation to residents as needed/requested.
• Other work-related duties as assigned.
