Job summary

TLC Management is seeking a Service Technician for our Glen Ellyn, IL property. The role requires hands-on maintenance across painting, plumbing, electrical, HVAC, carpentry, and mechanical systems.

You will perform unit turns, respond to issues, and support a busy residential community with a proactive, detail-oriented approach. Competitive hourly pay ($21-$28) with quarterly bonus potential, plus comprehensive benefits and 401(k) matching.

Qualifications

• A minimum of three years of maintenance experience in a fast-paced residential community is required.
• Availability to work Saturdays is required. The work schedule for this position is Tuesday through Saturday.
• Experience in painting, plumbing, electrical, HVAC, carpentry, and mechanical systems is required.
• Complete unit turns and work orders in a timely manner and up to company expectations.
• Availability to respond to after-hours emergency calls 24/7, including weekends and holidays, is required.

Responsibilities

• Complete unit turns and work orders in a timely manner and up to company expectations.
• Collaborate with team members and supervisors to resolve complex issues.
• Walk the property daily to ensure cleanliness and address maintenance issues.
• Perform janitorial duties as assigned and maintain common areas.
• Flexibility to work overtime and assist at other residential communities when needed.
• Respond to after-hours emergency calls 24/7, including weekends and holidays.
