Job summary

TLC Management is seeking an experienced Service Technician for our Arlington Heights, IL property. You will maintain apartment homes, common areas, and grounds with a focus on safety and asset protection, supporting the Service Manager in budgeting and preventative maintenance.

We offer a competitive hourly wage of $22–$24 with commissions and quarterly bonus potential. A minimum of three years in residential maintenance and skills in painting, plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and mechanical

Qualifications

• Minimum of three years of maintenance experience in a fast-paced residential community.
• Experience in painting, plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and mechanical systems.
• Must be available for after-hours emergency calls 24/7, including weekends and holidays.
• Ability to work Saturdays.
• Proactive with strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Knowledge of safe use of common tools, cleaning products and supplies.

Responsibilities

• Conduct daily property walks to ensure cleanliness and safety.
• Complete unit turns according to the property checklist within deadlines.
• Support the Service Manager by managing expenses and performing preventative maintenance.
• Promote a positive company image and teamwork.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the Community Manager and Service Manager.
