Job summary

CPI Security seeks a Residential Upgrade Technician to perform in-home upgrades of our residential systems and to build rapport with customers. You will identify opportunities to add products and services while ensuring total customer satisfaction with the upgrade process.

You will work to upgrade systems efficiently, meet performance goals, and handle walkthroughs to determine optimal configurations. Enjoy extensive training, strong benefits, and a culture that supports community engagement.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent; electronics/electrical/ HVAC/technical training is a plus
• Strong upselling and closing abilities are essential
• Mechanical aptitude beneficial
• Strong customer service skills required
• Commitment to safety is mandatory
• Ability to work well solo and in a team
• Professional appearance and demeanor expected
• High energy, positive attitude
• Schedule flexibility including weekends
• Alarm/cable installation/telecom experience a plus
• Computer skills including MS Outlook and iPad are a plus

Responsibilities

• Upgrading residential security systems accurately and efficiently
• Meeting or exceeding performance goals on a consistent basis
• Performing walkthrough of home to determine optimal system configuration and upsell opportunities
• Keeping the customer informed about the upgrade process and what it entails
• Connecting in-home system to our central monitoring system and demonstrating usage
• Maintaining administrative duties including timely billing and payroll paperwork
• Ensuring safety to prevent injury or damage
• Providing exceptional customer service at all times
• Consulting with management on issues or concerns
• Cleaning up work area and maintaining company equipment
