Job summary

CPI Security is seeking a Residential Service Technician in Charleston, SC to service customers’ security systems and resolve issues accurately and timely. The role offers aggressive pay with hourly training, plus 100% uncapped commissions after training, and opportunities for career mobility.

Responsibilities include servicing systems, conducting home walkthroughs, upselling configurations, and maintaining high safety and customer service standards. Weekend availability is required.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent; electronics/technical training a plus.
• Good sales skills, especially upselling and closing.
• Mechanical aptitude and a safety-first mindset.

Responsibilities

• Servicing residential security systems accurately and efficiently.
• Meeting or exceeding performance goals.
• Performing home walkthroughs to determine optimal system configuration and upsell opportunities.
• Informing customers about the service process and any installation steps.
• Connecting in-home systems to central monitoring and demonstrating usage.
• Submitting billing and payroll paperwork timely and accurately.
• Maintaining safety to prevent injury and damage.
• Providing exceptional customer service at all times.
