Job Overview:
The Residential Roofing Technician is responsible for installing, repairing, and maintaining various types of residential roofing systems, including asphalt shingles, metal, tile, and flat roofing materials. This role demands attention to detail, commitment to quality workmanship, adherence to safety standards, and excellent customer service while working at residential job sites.

Key Responsibilities:

• Install, repair, and replace roofing systems for residential properties according to manufacturer specifications and company standards.
• Identify and address potential issues with roofs, including leaks, structural concerns, and material defects.
• Safely set up, operate, and dismantle ladders, scaffolding, fall protection equipment, and other tools.
• Perform roofing inspections and document findings for repairs, maintenance, or warranty work.
• Remove old roofing materials, prepare roof decks, and install underlayment and flashing as needed.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area at all job sites.
• Communicate effectively with crew leaders, project managers, and homeowners regarding job progress and any concerns.
• Ensure proper use and maintenance of company equipment, vehicles, and tools.
• Follow all OSHA safety regulations and company safety policies at all times.
• Attend team meetings, safety trainings, and manufacturer certification sessions as required.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

• 2+ years of hands-on experience in residential roofing (new installation, re-roofing, repairs, or maintenance).
• Proficiency with common roofing materials: asphalt shingles, architectural shingles, metal panels, tile, and/or flat roofing (TPO, EPDM).
• Strong understanding of roof system components including flashing, vents, skylights, and underlayments.
• Ability to use hand and power tools safely and efficiently.
• Comfortable working at heights and in varying weather conditions.
• Basic knowledge of roof framing structures and waterproofing techniques.
• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
• Ability to lift 50+ pounds, climb ladders, and work on steep slopes.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with insurance restoration work and/or storm damage repair.
• Familiarity with using mobile apps for job reporting or time tracking.
• Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus.

Physical Requirements:

• Frequent standing, walking, climbing, lifting, bending, and kneeling.
• Ability to work in outdoor environments exposed to extreme temperatures, sun, rain, and wind.
• Ability to wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) including harnesses.
