Job summary

Aspire Health and Community Services seeks a Residential Rehab Educator/Counselor to support adults with behavioral health needs. You will assist with goal setting, daily living activities, social engagement, transportation and medication management.

Responsibilities include implementing treatment plans and fostering independence to improve overall quality of life. HS diploma required; driving may be needed at some sites, and CPR/First Aid/MAP certifications are required.

Qualifications

• HS diploma or equivalent; coursework in psychology, human services, social work or health sciences towards an Associates or Bachelor's degree preferred.
• Patience and understanding when interacting with individuals with disabilities; ability to support behavior health goals.
• Dependability, flexibility and desire to help others.
• Computer proficiency and ability to learn to use an electronic health record system.
• Must have a current valid driver’s license and safe driving record; driving experience or access to a personal vehicle may be required at some sites.
• CPR, First Aid and MAP certifications will be required.

Responsibilities

• Assist clients with goal setting and achievement, ADLs, meaningful activities, socialization, transportation and medication administration.
• Implement treatment plans to help clients reach goals and manage symptoms.
• Help clients develop independence and improve quality of life.
