Job summary

Rosecrance Moreland - Champaign, IL is seeking a Unit Specialist to oversee clients facing addiction, delivering daily counseling, group and individual sessions, and educational activities in a safe, therapeutic setting.

You will collaborate with a treatment team, supervise residents, and support the development and execution of individualized treatment plans, including AA step work and counseling objectives.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• Valid driver’s license required.
• CPR certification within three months of hire.
• Skilled in behavioral management techniques.
• Able to coordinate and present lectures for clients.

• Supervise residential clients and consult with the addiction counselor.

Responsibilities

• Work hours prescribed by the House Manager and any additional hours deemed necessary.
• Supervise and manage the behavior of residents and provide appropriate behavioral interventions and consequences.
• Monitor assigned clients by consulting with the primary counselor in developing and implementing the individual treatment plan.
• Implement therapeutic activities and facilitate development of independent living skills.
• Responsible for developing and presenting all resident education.
• Provide transportation to and from school, jobs, counseling services, etc.
• Assist in planning menus with residents and shopping for household items.
• Supervise daily activities and house operations.
• Consult with treatment team to plan daily therapeutic direction.
• Facilitate focal group discussion sessions.
• Attend scheduled staff meetings and committee meetings as designated.
• Ensure client service records are maintained.
• Oversee cleanliness of the house and proper use of equipment.
• Maintain confidentiality per Code of Conduct and law.
• Deliver exceptional customer service to every customer.
• Serve as a role model and represent the agency positively.
• Assume other related responsibilities as delegated by management.
