Job summary

Rosecrance Harrison Campus in Rockford, IL seeks a Unit Specialist to supervise clients and deliver counseling services in a safe, therapeutic setting. Responsibilities include individual, group and lecture activities, plus coordination of recreational and treatment plans.

You will work on-site with a mission-driven team, providing lectures and supporting recovery efforts for clients and families in a regulated environment.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED with at least 1 year of addiction treatment experience or equivalent.
• Must have valid driver’s license and meet agency insurance requirements.
• Certified Addictions Counselor (CADC) or eligible within 24 months.
• Must have own transportation.
• Skilled in behavioral management techniques.
• Able to coordinate and present lectures to patients, parents and community resources.
• A passion to be part of a mission driven organization.
• A teamwork approach.

Responsibilities

• Supervise addicted clients and maintain an ethical, legal and safe environment.
• Provide daily counseling services including individual, group and lectures.
• Coordinate and supervise client recreational activities.
• Develop and implement the individual treatment plan with the primary counselor.
• Maintain client service records in compliance with rules and regulations.
• Deliver all patient lectures listed on the client’s schedule.
• Observe, monitor and record group dynamics and sessions.
