Job summary

Waxahachach Discovery Point Retreat seeks a compassionate Behavioral Health Technician / Recovery Coach to join our residential and detox treatment program in Waxahachie. You will support clients in daily activities, recovery groups, and treatment routines within a structured, safe environment.

The ideal candidate is patient, dependable, and able to build professional relationships while maintaining boundaries.

Qualifications

Previous experience in behavioral health or related treatment settings preferred.
Recovery Coach, Peer Support, Behavioral Health Technician, CNA, or similar experience is a plus.
High school diploma or GED preferred.

Responsibilities

Provide direct support, encouragement, and accountability to clients throughout their treatment stay.
Build positive and professional relationships with clients while maintaining appropriate boundaries.
Monitor client activity and provide support throughout the daily schedule.
Assist clients with admissions, room assignments, orientation, and discharge.
Encourage client participation in groups, activities, and other treatment programming.
Document client interactions, observations, and required information accurately and timely.
Communicate effectively with nurses, therapists, clinical leadership, operations, and other members of the treatment team.
Follow all facility policies, procedures, safety requirements, and client confidentiality standards.
