Job summary

NARA Northwest is hiring a Residential Assistant to provide direct support and supervision to adults in residential substance use treatment. You will help maintain a safe, recovery-focused environment, assist with daily living activities, and support treatment participation and goals.

The role requires driving and current licenses, plus CPR/CPI/food handler certifications within 30 days. Applicants must pass background and DMV checks and have reliable transportation.

Qualifications

• Must have driving as a requirement and hold a current driver’s license.
• CPR, CPI, and Food Handlers cards required within 30 days of hire.
• Ability to set professional boundaries and treat clients and staff with respect and dignity.
• Criminal background and DMV checks completed as part of pre-employment process.
• Reliable transportation to and from work.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct support and supervision to clients during daily residential activities.
• Encourage participation in recovery activities and programs.
• Conduct routine client checks, safety rounds, and grounds checks.
• Monitor safety concerns and report incidents.
• Complete daily logs, shift reports, and incident documentation.
• Assist with admissions and orientation; transport clients to appointments.
