Job summary

MRK maintains the overall cleanliness, appearance, and upkeep of the River Edge and Wood-Ridge communities, ensuring safe and well-kept spaces for residents and visitors. The Porter prepares vacated apartments for new residents, restoring them to move-in condition.

Responsibilities include daily property patrols, grounds maintenance, and assisting with maintenance work orders, while meeting flexibility with weekends/evenings and a valid driver’s license.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• One year of general maintenance experience preferred.
• Knowledge of OSHA rules and regulations is preferred.
• Must be able to work a flex schedule and be on-call for emergencies on weekends, evenings, and holidays.
• Requires the ability to read, speak and comprehend the English language.
• Ability to follow direction and work independently in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Patrols property daily to identify areas needing cleaning and completes required work.
• Restores vacated apartments to move-in condition for new residents.
• Performs grounds maintenance including weed removal and snow/leaf removal.
• Cleans property office and janitorial areas per schedule.
• Assists maintenance technicians with preventive maintenance and work orders.
