Job summary

The Michaels Organization is hiring a Porter to maintain and enhance the property's curb appeal. You will frequently walk the grounds, remove litter, and support staff to ensure efficient property operations in line with company policies and applicable laws.

Responsibilities include trash removal, vacated apartment cleanouts, and assisting with make-ready work. The role requires basic English reading/writing and physical ability to lift 40 pounds.

Qualifications

• Must have basic reading/writing English to understand labels and instructions.
• Experience in multifamily maintenance or porter role is preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Transfers trash and debris into dumpsters and keep areas clean and safe.
• Performs trash-out duties at vacated apartments.
• Assists with make-ready duties for new residents.
• Performs general work area clean-up and safety tasks.
• Details properties around offices, laundry, mail rooms, walkways, and exterior areas.
• Keeps grounds neat and free of litter using standard tools.
• Maintains storage and shop areas; tidies up as directed.
• Performs additional duties assigned by Maintenance Superintendent and Community Manager.
