Zusammenfassung

Aerotek seeks a Property Maintenance Technician to maintain and repair residential apartment properties in East Greenwich, RI. You will handle plumbing, electrical, HVAC, appliances, and groundskeeping, using a digital work order system to manage assignments.

Responsibilities include inspecting, repairing, and servicing building systems, performing preventive maintenance, and providing after-hours on-call coverage. Valid driver’s license and on-site work are required.

Qualifikationen

• Minimum of two years experience maintaining housing developments or equivalent experience.
• Hands-on building maintenance experience on residential properties.
• Working knowledge of plumbing systems incl. fixtures, pipes, valves, drains, and controls.
• Ability to troubleshoot and repair basic electrical systems (outlets, switches, wiring).
• Experience repairing and maintaining appliances such as stoves and refrigerators.
• Basic HVAC repair skills including servicing furnaces and replacing filters.
• Ability to perform preventive maintenance on building systems and equipment.
• Proficiency with hand tools and basic power tools.
• Ability to manage work orders via a maintenance ticketing system on a smartphone or laptop.
• Possession of a valid driver's license.
• Willingness to provide after-hours on-call coverage.

Aufgaben

• Inspect, troubleshoot, and repair plumbing fixtures and piping, including toilets, sinks, drains, valves, and controls.
• Unclog and clear blocked fixtures and pipes to restore proper water flow and drainage.
• Troubleshoot and repair electrical ranges, including burner controls and heating elements.
• Diagnose and repair electrical systems and components such as switches, outlets, lighting fixtures, circuit breakers, and wiring.
• Repair HVAC systems and components, including replacing filters and servicing furnaces and thermostats.
• Prepare walls for painting to ready units for occupancy or turnover.
• Clean and service stoves, refrigerators, and other appliances to ensure safety and operation.
• Maintain building surfaces, fixtures, systems, and equipment to high appearance standards.
• Carry out groundskeeping tasks: trash removal, mowing, trimming, planting, and snow removal.
• Use a smartphone or laptop to receive, update, and close work orders in a maintenance system.
• Perform preventive maintenance on building systems to reduce downtime and extend asset life.
• Operate hand and power tools safely for carpentry, electrical, and plumbing tasks.
• Provide after-hours emergency coverage on a rotating on-call schedule.
