Job summary

Sojourner House is seeking a Property Maintenance Technician to support residential properties across Rhode Island. This hands-on role performs repairs across multiple trades, prepares units for new residents, and conducts routine maintenance inspections.

You will travel between properties, respond to after-hours calls as needed, and maintain tools and work areas safely. A valid driver's license and five+ years of experience are required.

Qualifications

• Five or more years of verifiable residential or property maintenance experience.
• Experience performing repairs across multiple trades.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable personal vehicle; company vehicles not provided.

Responsibilities

• Perform general residential maintenance and repairs across multiple trades.
• Prepare apartments for new residents, including repairs, painting, and punch-list items.
• Conduct routine and preventative maintenance inspections and report needs.
• Support exterior and seasonal property maintenance and grounds upkeep.
• Complete work orders accurately and document work in agency systems.
• Maintain tools and work areas in safe, organized condition.
• Communicate professionally with residents, coworkers, contractors, and vendors.
