Peabody Properties seeks an experienced Maintenance Technician to join its team at an apartment community in Tiverton, RI. The role supports the Service Manager with a broad range of maintenance tasks to ensure efficient operation of the property.

Responsibilities include electrical, plumbing, HVAC, appliance repair, locks & keys, carpentry, painting, janitorial work, and grounds maintenance. A high school diploma, 3 years in facilities maintenance, and reliable transportation are required;

Qualifications

• Ability to communicate effectively in English, both written and verbal.
• Solid computer skills.
• Excellent customer service skills a must.
• On-call coverage for emergencies after hours, weekends and holidays.
• Reliable vehicle needed to perform essential duties.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine, preventative and emergency maintenance across electrical, plumbing, HVAC, appliance repair, and basic carpentry.
• Handle locks & keys, painting and drywall repair, janitorial, grounds, and snow removal.
• Maintain cleanliness in common areas and outdoor spaces.
• Respond promptly to maintenance issues and coordinate with the Service Manager.
