Job summary

ALCO Management, Inc. is seeking a Maintenance Technician to support daily operations across properties in Chattanooga. The role focuses on preventive and reactive maintenance, coordinating with vendors, and keeping detailed maintenance records to ensure safe, functional living spaces.

You will respond to resident requests, assist with on-site repairs, and work with Community Managers to prioritize tasks while maintaining compliance with safety standards.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; technical certifications or an associate’s degree preferred.
• 1–2 years in property maintenance, facilities management, or related role; multi-family experience a plus.
• Ability to use maintenance management software and MS Office; strong problem-solving skills.
• Organized, dependable, detail-oriented with good communication and safety focus.

Responsibilities

• Inspect properties and perform preventative maintenance for safety and functionality.
• Respond to resident maintenance requests and troubleshoot issues efficiently.
• Assist with vendor and contractor coordination for specialized repairs.
• Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, work orders, and inspections.
• Conduct routine checks of building systems and log results; support project prioritization with Community Managers.
• Monitor inventory and ensure timely reorders; follow safety and regulatory standards.
