Job summary

Real Property Management Richmond Metro is hiring an Inspector Technician to perform property inspections across Richmond and surrounding areas. The role involves identifying maintenance concerns, documenting repairs, and communicating with residents, owners, vendors, and staff.

The ideal candidate has knowledge of residential systems, strong attention to detail, and the ability to document findings using RentCheck. A valid driver’s license and willingness to travel are required.

Qualifications

• Experience in home inspection, maintenance, or property management is preferred.
• Knowledge of residential plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and other systems.
• Ability to identify issues and recommend solutions.
• Strong attention to detail and accurate documentation.
• Proficient with mobile inspection software; RentCheck experience a plus.
• Professional written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to travel throughout Richmond and surrounding areas.

Responsibilities

• Conduct annual property inspections and identify maintenance concerns.
• Provide clear repair recommendations and document findings.
• Perform move-out inspections and document required turn work.
• Document quarterly inspections per company standards.
• Submit inspection reports using RentCheck software.
• Certify smoke detectors and replace units as needed.
• Maintain and safely operate company vehicles and tools.
• Interact professionally with residents, owners, and vendors.
• Meet established timelines and maintain customer service standards.
