Job summary

RPM Richmond Metro in Richmond, VA seeks an Inspector Technician to conduct thorough property inspections, document findings, and communicate clearly with residents, property owners, vendors and staff.

You will inspect single-family homes (occasional multifamily), provide repair recommendations, complete quarterly inspections, and enter work orders. A valid driver’s license and basic RentCheck or mobile software proficiency are required. This is a full-time hourly role.

Qualifications

• Prior home inspection, maintenance, or property management experience preferred.
• General knowledge of residential systems including plumbing, electrical, HVAC.
• Strong attention to detail and documentation of property conditions.
• Comfortable using mobile inspection software; RentCheck experience is a plus.
• Professional written and verbal communication with residents, owners, vendors, staff.
• Valid driver's license and clean driving record.

Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough annual property maintenance inspections.
• Identify maintenance, safety, and property-condition concerns.
• Provide clear and detailed repair recommendations.
• Perform move-out inspections and document required turn work.
• Conduct quarterly inspections in line with company standards.
• Complete inspection reports using RentCheck software.
• Identify urgent maintenance concerns and input emergency work orders.
• Maintain and operate company vehicles, inspection equipment, and tools.
