Job summary

Cedar Build Inc. in Austin, TX seeks a Project Designer to help reinvent how housing is designed, permitted, and built in America.

You will work on the Cedar Catalog Team and project teams to develop prototypes and iterate designs. You'll collaborate with architects and engineers, refine catalog products for live projects, and design buildable housing prototypes using conventional software and Cedar’s catalog tools.

Qualifications

• . Must have experience in residential architecture and ability to translate concepts into buildable designs.
• Knowledge of IBC and IRC building codes.

Responsibilities

• Iterate project design concepts and progress designs through Design Development.
• Adjust catalog products to fit project housing needs with architects.
• Design housing prototypes in conventional software and Cedar’s catalog design software.
• Contribute to creating a library of standardized project elements reflecting Cedar design look and feel.
