Job summary

Cedar is hiring a Senior Project Architect in Austin to lead 1–3 residential projects from concept to construction administration. You will coordinate with Cedar designers, engineers, and external consultants while guiding junior staff and modeling Cedar best practices.

You will drive a collaborative process, curate specifications, and ensure timely delivery of milestones, balancing client goals with Cedar catalog designs. This role reports to the Studio Director.

Qualifications

• Minimum 10 years of architectural office experience; licensed professionals preferred.
• 6+ years in a project architect or job captain role, managing day-to-day projects.
• 4+ years in residential architecture; multi-family experience preferred.
• Education: 5-year BArch or MArch preferred.
• Proficiency in design and documentation software: Revit, AutoCAD, Rhino, Enscape, Bluebeam.

Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day execution of 1–3 residential projects concurrently.
• Gather project data from stakeholders and manage data throughout the project.
• Produce and oversee models, presentations, and documentation through milestones; evolve with catalog software.
• Lead projects with 1–2 junior staff under direct supervision.
• Curate specifications and draw/manage execution of details.
• Plan and maintain project schedules and staffing.
• Serve as primary client contact for schedules, milestones, and delivery.
