This role partners with residential management to implement personalized supports, monitor plans, and ensure compliance with regulatory standards and CARF accreditation.

The position requires strong supervision, training, and communication skills, with a focus on quality services and staff development.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• Minimum 6 years prior experience including 3 years residential management and staff management experience and 3 years supporting individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities.
• Knowledge of regulatory compliance.
• Prior supervisory experience required.
• Ability and willingness to provide hands-on personal care.
• Strong organizational skills.
• Must be able to effectively communicate in both verbal and written form with coworkers and supported individuals and read fluently.
• Valid driver’s license in the state of Massachusetts required.
• Successful completion of all state and Agency mandated trainings required upon hire.
• Successful completion of Medication Administration Training certification required upon hire.

Responsibilities

• Hires, trains, evaluates, and provide support to Residential Supervisors assigned to residences; ensures Supervisors understand program and performance standards.
• Ensures regulatory and policy compliance in assigned homes by conducting comprehensive record reviews, facility inspections, program participant fund audits and other programmatic reviews geared to ensure program participants receive optimal services.
• Guides Residential Supervisors in the development of appropriate treatment plans, including ISP, provider service agreements, assessments, ISPs, person-centered plans and clinical support plans; monitors implementation of all plans.
• Assists with recruiting, supervising, and training Direct Support Professionals.
• Serves as the primary liaison with the Massachusetts Rehabilitation Commission (MRC) State Head Injury Program and the Department of Developmental Services (DDS).
• Provides regular, mandatory trainings for all Agency staff including fire safety, emergency procedures, universal precautions, vital signs, assessing signs and symptoms of illness or injury.
• Reviews and finalizes reporting including incident reports, restraint reports, medication occurrence reports, ISP assessments and objectives and other key reports.
• Ensures Agency is compliant with state regulatory standards and CARF standards.
• Provides rotational weekend and evening coverage for emergency on-call.
• Serves as mandated reporter for suspected cases of abuse and/or neglect to the Disabled Persons Protection Commission (DPPC).
• Performs additional duties, as assigned.
