Job summary

Kids for the Future in Hamden, CT, seeks a Residential Coordinator to oversee day-to-day home operations, supervise direct service staff, and coordinate medical and financial programs for residents.

You will ensure regulation compliance, manage records, participate in ISP and court proceedings, plan activities, and maintain a safe, supportive living environment. Responsibilities include monitoring medications, safety drills, monthly documentation reviews, and staff training.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's/associate degree in special education or human services or related field required or 3+ years in a residential setting.
• DDS medication certification and CPR current.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement programs for each resident.
• Supervise residents and hands-on tasks with safety and documentation.
• Ensure records are accurate and up-to-date; review monthly.
• Monitor medication dispensing and record-keeping.
• Coordinate staffing; supervise staff and conduct evaluations.
• Attend ISP meetings, vocational ISP meetings, and court dates.
• Plan and facilitate residents' IP meetings and assessments.
• Maintain safety, conduct fire drills, alarms and inspections.
• Ensure DDS regulations are followed and maintain confidentiality.
