Job summary

The Arc Jefferson – St. Lawrence is seeking a Residential Coordinator to assist in coordinating the total residential program, promoting independence, inclusion, and productivity for the people we support.

The role requires supervisory experience, strong program documentation, and the ability to manage staff through training and oversight within regulatory guidelines. Travel across Jefferson and St. Lawrence counties is expected as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Human Services or related field and one year experience with developmental disabilities; or an Associate Degree with two years’ experience; or a high school diploma with supervisory experience and three years’ experience in a program for the developmentally disabled.
• Must be medication certified or able to be within ninety (90) days.
• Valid NYS driver’s license and ability to be van certified within ninety (90) days.

Responsibilities

• Provide supervision and direction to Direct Support Professionals to ensure safety and welfare of the people we support.
• Provide training and supervision to ensure staff competency in rehabilitative services and regulatory compliance.
• Train and supervise for self-care, domestic skills, socialization, and other designated areas.
• Ensure residence operations meet agency policy and regulatory requirements and implement corrective actions as needed.
• Document and file programmatic issues accurately for billing purposes.
