Job summary

The Arc Jefferson – St. Lawrence seeks a dedicated staff member to join our residential program. The role focuses on independent living, coordinating services, and supporting people we serve to achieve goals with person-centered planning.

Responsibilities include assisting with daily living tasks, transportation, nutrition, and documenting progress. A NYS driver’s license is required, and travel across Jefferson and St. Lawrence counties is expected. Training is provided.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Valid NYS driver's license required.
• Experience working with persons with developmental disabilities preferred.
• Must be able to pass background checks and agency training.
• Ability to document services and follow service plans.

Responsibilities

• Assist people we support with daily living and independent skills.
• Provide guidance in nutrition, meal planning and groceries.
• Support in house-keeping, cleaning, and upkeep of living spaces.
• Document services and progress in a timely manner.
• Assist with transportation and accompany to activities per plan.
• Complete medication administration only after proper training and certification if required.
